In the event of ties, ranking will be determined based on net points won i.e. total points scored, net of points against. In an unlikely event of another ties, a tie break of 5 points will be played between the teams to determine their group ranking. Top 2 teams of each group will progress to the Quarter-Final stage (last 8 of the knock-out stage).
4) Top 2 teams of each group will play in Quarter-Finals (QF) as follows:
QF1: Winner of Group A vs Runner-up of Group C
QF2: Winner of Group B vs Runner-up of Group D
QF3: Winner of Group C vs Runner-up of Group A
QF4: Winner of Group D vs Runner-up of Group B
5) Winners of Quarter-Final will play in Semi-Finals (SF) as follows:
SF1: Winner of QF1 v Winner of QF2
SF2: Winner of QF3 v Winner of QF4
6) The winners of the Semi-Finals will play against each other in the Final for the best of 3 games in order to determine the eventual Champion and Runner-up.
7) Please arrive on time, preferably 15-20 minutes early so that you can warm up properly. Games will start promptly at 10.30 am. All matches will be completed within the court time. In the event of early finish, court time will be used for club sessions.
8) This is a social event and we are a group of individuals getting together to play badminton for fun. Refer to our standard terms and conditions provided in FAQs.
9) Please respect your fellow partner and other teams during games and avoid causing injury or racquet damage. Whilst this is named a tournament, the aim is really to promote sportsmanship and maintain the level of competitive play at our club, and most importantly to have fun! All decisions will be final.
