Shuttlecocks
You don’t have to buy or bring own shuttles as these will be provided at our sessions. We use feather shuttlecocks.
Plastic shuttles are good for social use or if you are just starting playing badminton. They are much more economical and endured. And they come in three levels of speed, i.e. normal, medium and fast.
Clothing
All you need is comfortable sports attire depending on your preference – i.e. shorts, T-shirt or sport shirt and a warm top. If you prefer a tracksuit, that’s absolutely up to you. The key consideration is to wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move around the court and stretch with ease.
Footwear
It is recommended to wear sports socks and comfortable badminton shoes or trainers with a good sole to get a good grip on the floor. Black soles to the shoes are sometimes disallowed.
Warm up
As with other sports, it is easier to get hurt when you play with cold, stiff muscles. It is always recommended to arrive early before the start time so you can warm up properly before you start playing.
